Beeswax Candles

Americans love lighting candles. According to the National Candle Association, candles are used in 7 out of 10 U.S households.

Unfortunately, most scented candles are made from paraffin wax, a petroleum byproduct. If you can’t resist the ambiance candles provide, try 100 percent beeswax or soy candles instead. Beeswax and soy are biodegradable, renewable resources.

They burn cleaner and produce much less black soot than paraffin wax. Plus, using soy candles is a great way to support farmers who sell soybeans.
